Buffalo Mills, PA – Vicki L. Burkett, 60, of Buffalo Mills, passed away Friday November 29, 2019 at WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born November 25, 1959 in Cumberland; she was a daughter of the late Joseph Deter and Norma (Montgomery) Madero.

Survived by her husband Timothy Burkett, children, Michelle Taylor and husband Ian of Johnstown, Michael Deter and wife Kelli of Frostburg, Matthew Burkett and wife Ashley of Buffalo Mills, Elyse LaRue of Buffalo Mills, and Brandon Burkett of Cumberland; 11 grandchildren, Emmy, Mya, Kylie, Marissa, Trenton, Tristan, Bentley, Victoria, Veronica, Skylar, and Jaxon; a brother, Robert Madero of Westernport.

Vicki was a graduate of Allegany High School. She was a sales rep at Landis Office Supply since 1976. She was a member of the Sporting Clay Association and the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, having family gatherings and cook outs. She was an avid outdoors woman and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She enjoyed animals and had several dogs over the years.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. H. John Miller officiating.

Burial will follow at Milligans Cove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made Bedford County Humane Society.
