Buffalo Mills, PA – W. Lee Smith, 78, of Buffalo Mills, went to be with the Lord, April 19, 2023 at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born July 22, 1944in Madley; he was a son of Henry Edward and Josie Ann (Shroyer) Smith. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Earl (Izolla Imler) Smith, Homer (Grace Stottleyer) Smith, Charles (Lois Wilfong) Smith, Allen Smith and a sister Marcelle (Chester) Elliott.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (Edwards) Smith, whom he married, February 5, 1965; children, Brian Smith and wife Janelle, Missy Deneen and husband Bobby,  all of Buffalo Mills; Lisa Ringer and husband Vernon of Cumberland, MD; brothers, Glenn (Margaret Chirello) Smith, Ray (Elaine Mitchell) Smith, sisters, Peggy (Fred) Hagan, Linda (Kenneth) Holler, 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one more expected in November. Also many nieces and nephews.

Lee retired from Snyder’s of Berlin in 2006. He was a member of the Everett Church of God where he served as Head Usher. He was a former member of Manns Choice Church of God where he was on the church council. He enjoyed camping, hunting with his children and grandchildren, family reunions and tinkering around in his garage.

Friends will be received at the Everett Church of God, 11152 Lincoln Highway, Everett on Monday April 24, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor John Kisner officiating.

Burial will be private at Lybarger Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Everett Church of God or American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors that assisted with Lee’s care over the past 5 years.
