Hyndman, PA – Walter G. “Walt” Lofblad, 84, of Hyndman, formerly of Connellsville, PA went to be with the Lord Monday May 9, 2016 at UPMC Bedford Hospital.

Born August 1, 1931 in Wisconsin; a son of the late Walter G.  and Alice (Hamilton) Lofblad.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances M. (See) Lofblad; sisters, Anny Harshman, Rice Lake, WI; Myrtle Doering, Sun City, AZ, June Behnke, Reedsburg, WI; step brothers, Jim McFetridge, St. Paul, MN; Pat Fankhauser, Cumberland, WI, Delbert Fankhauser, Stillwater, MN; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Walt Served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1992 from Potomac Power and Electric. He and Frances lived in Connellsville for 19 years. He was a member of the American Legion and Faith Bible Church. He was currently a member of Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie, MD. Walt was an avid stamp collector.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Greg Miller and Ken Korns officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Porter Cemetery with Military Honors by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
