Jamison, William D. (Doc), Jr., has gone to be with the Lord on June 23, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents, William D Jamison, Sr. and Maxine (Emerick) Jamison Kraynak along with his step father, Charles Kraynak; sister, Kay Thorne; sisters-in-law, Brenda Jamison and Mary Ann Frankenberry; nephew, Ronald Jamison; and brothers-in-law, Edward Madden, Cliff Clites and Bob Shaffer. He is survived by wife of 59 years, Eileen (Madden) Jamison; children, Pam Garrett and husband Terry of La Vergne, TN, Debbie Torbet and husband Eric of Hyndman, PA, and Jamie and wife Nancy of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Tara (Garrett) Burke and husband Jeff, Jeni Garrett and fiancée Jimmy, Shane Torbet and wife Kailee, Brad Torbet and friend Cherokee Bidinger, Melissa Jamison, Jamie Troutman, Lori Troutman, and Robert Troutman; great grandchildren, Isaac and Callie; brothers, Richard (Cork) Jamison and wife Vivian, and Ron Jamison and wife June; sister, Colleen Emerick; brothers-in-law, Robert Kreigline and wife Lois, and Dave Thorne and Joe Frankenberry; sisters-in-law, Jessie Madden and Peggy Clites; and numerous nieces and nephews. William is a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked in Washington D.C., ABL in Cumberland, MD, and at the Kelly Springfield as a program analyst in Cumberland, MD. He is a member of the Grace United Methodist Church where he also taught Sunday School. He was involved in Lions Club, Mason – Scottish Rites, Hyndman Area Rescue Squad, Board Member of the HAHC and served on the sewer authority, he also coached Little League and was a basketball referee and a baseball umpire. He enjoyed playing sports and watching his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. The family would like to thank Conemaugh Home Health, Conemaugh Regional Hospice, James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, his caregivers, Colleen Emerick, Patty Zimmerman, Elizabeth Snyder, Marlene Turner and Wanda Burkett for the wonderful care and compassion that was given to William during his time of need. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Harvey Zeigler Funeral Home, where a funeral service will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery.
