Obituary

Hyndman, PA – William H. Starkey, 87, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Golden Living, Cumberland.
Born November 21, 1927, in Corriganville, MD; he was a son of the late Herman and Anna Mae (Burkett) Starkey. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Dorothy L. (Thompson) Starkey; second wife, Alice Marshall Starkey; one brother and several sisters.
Survived by daughters, Mary Ann Miller and husband Richard of Fredericksburg, VA, and Cheryl Burkett of Hyndman; a sister, Geraldine Goss of South Carolina; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Starkey worked for the Railroad for 42 years.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ken Haines officiating.
Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD
